Dr. Will Heise, MD, FACMT, is a board-certified expert in Medical Toxicology, Addiction Medicine, and Family Medicine. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Bumblebee Health, where he leads with a commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care for patients with substance use disorders. In this role, he oversees clinical leadership, ensures quality assurance, shapes healthcare policy, and provides direct patient care.
Beyond his leadership at Bumblebee Health, Dr. Heise is dedicated to education and research. He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical Data Analytics and Decision Support at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. His academic work focuses on critical care toxicology, clinical decision support, and the evolving field of precision medicine. As Director of the Precision Medicine Theme, he mentors future physicians and providers, sharing his passion for improving patient outcomes through innovation and education.
Clinically, Dr. Heise is affiliated with the Department of Medical Toxicology at both Banner – University Medical Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 2010, followed by a Family Medicine residency and a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. Dr. Heise lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his family and enjoys exploring mountain heights, swimming holes, and international cities.
